I first heard about Connect By Nova through a friend who put me through to Hannah. Since working with Hannah I’ve had so much more clarity on my educational career path, as well as much more confidence when dealing with job interviews, resume formatting and my overall professionalism when dealing with job offers. Using these resources has made both my personal and academic life a lot easier.

I have been working with Hannah Jackson at Connect By Nova for the past two months and she has helped me in a number of ways. Since I am looking to kick-start my career in marketing, we first focused on re-vamping my resume so that when it lands on a hiring manager’s desk they already have everything they are looking for. Next, Hannah put me into contact with multiple Marketing Professionals that way I would be able to not only network but also chat with industry professionals so I can get an idea of what I need to do in order to make sure I am successful. Now, we are currently working on a number of job applications and keeping track of them using a job tracker, as well as working on my LinkedIn profile so I can continue to make connections with professionals in the marketing industry. I have really enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of this new initiative and feel as if it has helped me step out of my comfort zone.

Working with Hannah was a great experience, she is both knowledgeable and eager to inform others in an effective manner. Her presentation and tailoring of information for my specific needs spoke of the keen interest she takes in helping people reach their employment goals. She takes a comprehensive approach – covering the importance of industry connections and even working to set up opportunities where these can be fostered, all the while happy to give advice at any stage. Her bank of little tips that make a big difference is very impressive, covering attire, interviews and everything in between that you would never think of utilizing to ensure that you stand out to employers. Thank you for inviting me to the Foundations of Interviewing training. It was very informative and helpful. I got a better understanding on the importance of feedback after an interview, I never viewed it as being important before, but I do now. Additionally, the insight on how to identify competency-based questions in an interview was phenomenal.
